body of machine is rusted

trudylm, RC Willey
  • Conclusion: Have had my washer for less than 2 year and it has rusted out at the bleach dispenser. Have extended warranty, but as usual it does not cover this. spent a good bit of money and got a bad machine. Was told that the body rusting out is my problem from no ventilation. First machine I have ever had this happen to with. The rust is bubbles up under the paint and from under the dispenser This is the LG Wave force machine..

controls on front not a good plan

deanieg, RC Willey
15 March 2014
  • Conclusion: I have young kids that I want to teach to do their laundry. moving the controls to front seems like a bad idea (hitting buttons, leaning on it), especially with the strange bending action of the lid, which seemed flimsy, esp. with kids using the machine. I went with the previous model, which I love, and posted a review there. Also, these machines are big, big. I'm 5 ft 3 and have to launch myself onto one foot to reach the last sock.

Unreliable Lemon and LG no help

Scalpel Jockey, Amazon
21 February 2014
  • Summary: Purchased this product and it worked great....for about 3 weeks. Then started coming up with error messages. We contacted LG and it took TWO WEEKS for a repair man to come out (after repeated calls). He replaced a part (was rude to my wife in the process) and it worked....for a day. Then more error messages. Contacted LG again and ANOTHER WEEK goes by, and the repair man comes out, replaces ANOTHER part, and it STILL does not work!

Regret this purchase!

Bish60, LG Electronics Ratings and Reviews
4 January 2014
  • Summary: I bought this washer in order to conserve water and energy. I wish I had never done so! I originally wanted a front loader but decided on this one due to being tall and not wanting to bend over so much as needed with a front loader. The balancing rarely works and it takes me hours to do our laundry! True Balance technology would be great if it worked without having to refill over and over again to try and find balance.

Worst Washing Machine Ever!

rosco, LG Electronics Ratings and Reviews
31 December 2013
  • Summary: I previously wrote a review giving this washer a 3 out of 5 stars and have completely changed my mind. I would give it 0 stars if I could, because this washer has added nothing except dollars to my electric and water bills and increased my stress. As I write this review, I am currently going on 48 minutes for a 13 minute "spin only" cycle. Unless you have a pack of kids or run a laundry business DO NOT purchase this washer.
  • Pros: do not purchase
