Summary: It took me a while to think about it, but I have decided that I am a fan of this washing machine. It has great features that your standard issue washing machine does not have. And, they even seem to work! I've used nearly all of the features and have been pleased with the results. I use my washing machine once a week at minimum. My only issue is that it does take longer to wash a load of laundry (40 minutes to 1 hr 30 minutes depending on the settings I choose).
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Conclusion: The washer has many great features that is appealing and useful for a family of 4. The steam feature works well and is a selling point for this washer. The turbo wash feature is also a great timesaver. I feel our clothes are just as clean as they would be doing a normal/cotton cycle.
This product has a great selection of wash cycles.

Conclusion: I've heard a lot about this product and since my 2 year old washer, not this brand, broke and was unrepairable I decided to give it a try. I'm very satisfied with it so far. It is quiet and the clothes come out really clean. I like having all the different wash cycles to choose from.
Conclusion: This is my first front loader washer. I have a large family, so we do a lot of laundry. I purchased the pedastal for it and am pleased. The delivery men leveled the machine, but I had to call another svc person to adjust it again. I use a lot less water and detergent. The washer spins out the laundry so it feels "dry". It was an expensive purchase but it will be cost effective in the long run.
Conclusion: This machine uses much less water and spins water from clothes much better than our old 80s era top loader ever did. This means the dryer runs also runs less. The water inlet valves open and close very fast a dozen or more times per cycle. This caused a problem with water hammer in our plumbing, as others have reported. Fortunately suppressors are available for not much money at hardware stores.
Conclusion: Have been using the washer for a month so far. Love the ease of use, the number of cycle choices, and the pleasant sound of the alarms. Amount of water left in clothes varies by cycle, for the permanent press setting, more moisture than expected. Also, a few cycles make DREADFUL noises when starting up and beginning and ending spin cycles. The noise is so bad that I actually had a repair person come in; he said that this was 'LG normal'.
Conclusion: So far so good. I only have the washer for couple months, but it has been working great. Pro: Large capacity, quiet, clothes are clean (still need to make more observations), very good value for the price, and like the fancy electronic controls. Con: In the steam washing mode, there is jet pulsating jet flow at the start of the wash resulted in loud (pulsating) noise in the water supply pipe (you can hear water running noise when someone uses the shower or toilet...
