Hotpoint WDPG9640 Washer Dryer
15 January 2015
Summary: Inflexible, unreliable machine. Not nearly as good as Indesit IWDD7123 washer/dryer which is considerably cheaper.
Cons: Inflexible programmes. Two serious problems occurred: 1. 30 minute 30C Wash 10 switched to 3 Hour 60C Wash 2 while I was out of the room. By the time I discovered it and had managed to turn off and open machine Woollen jersey being washed was ruined. 2. On several occasions 3.08 Hour 60C Wash 4 would not stop but went on and on. Summary: I purchased this machine for a rental property after been swayed by the salesperson at the local John Lewis branch. The tenants immediately complained about the drying function. Calling Hotpoint was very hard and despite numerous attempts in trying to resolve issue - it was apparent that the drying function of this machine is not good. I have always bought all my products from John Lewis due to its no quibble guarantee and customer service.
Summary: In terms of eventual results (i.e. clean laundry), for an extra weeku2019s pension money this is a distinct improvement over my previous washer/dryer machine, which was also a Hotpoint. JLP say the price was substantially reduced but I think the price I paid was about right.
Awful quality and one of the most expensive Washer Dryers to run.

Summary: Awful Quality with little that actually makes it stand out, the door is graphite, which feels like will start to flake and chip away in months. The Volume is so loud I have to leave the house when its on a spin.
