Excerpt: This machine has started going rusty around the edges of the front panel. As the machine is 2 years old, the Hotpoint agents did not want to know about replacing it. They would only replace it if we paid them 80.00. In my opinion, it''s obvious that there is a quality control problem. I will never, ever deal with this company again and I will certainly never purchase a Hotpoint again as long as I live. The way we have been treated and fobbed off is simply disgusting.
Summary: If you buy this machine place it on runners so you don't develop a bad back as you will have to move it so many times to manually drain it and carry your half washed clothes to the launderette, again. Can this be given less than one star?
Pros: It hasn't killed anyone through electrocution *yet* but I think this is more by luck than by design.
Cons: The quality of this machine is appaling. I've had this machine for over a year and I have had the engineer out seven times to replace diferent failed components. This is without question to worst washing machine ever. I can't rely on it to complete a single wash without failing in some way either taking more than three hours to dry clothes or cutting small holes in almost everything. Or my favourite, stopping whilst filled with water.
Summary: First machine had a fault on the led display, segments missing, engineer arranged a replacement machine which arrived a week later. Very, very, noisy unlike first machine, could not use on delay timer early mornings etc, would wake whole house up, pump constantly running now awaiting engineer to come to look at this one, might just be bad luck on my part but im not very impressed so far.
