Summary: Mine too - 3 years old, bearings have gone, apparently it's a sealed drum and bearings cannot be replaced. Also display is crock but we can still use it just about, hopefully for around 1 week until our new one arrives !
Summary: Have had this machine for approx. 5 years. Think bearings must have gone as its soooooo noisy. I said its so noisy! Circuit board was replaced within the guarantee and I took out another 12 months - just in case. However, it's been playing up with error codes, cuts out on 60dg wash and smells. I've had enough and am looking for something else that doesn't spin creases into my clothes........ The good thing about it was that you could shorten the very long washes.
Summary: Machine purchased in March 2011, from our local co-op. Problems started just after the warranty expired. We contacted the retailer, who informed us that if we paid for an independent survey which found a manufacturing fault, they would pay for the survey and the repair. Like a lot of other complainants, it's the digital readout, PCB, which is faulty. Not bothering, will replace as soon as possible.
Summary: Bought this 3 years ago now to replace my Bosch Maxx that I had 10 years. Over recent months the spin has got unbearable loud and refuses to spin if anything heavy like towels or a bath mat is inside. I phoned Hoover under the 5 year parts guarantee and told it would Cost £129 call out charge for an engineer, what a con!!!!! Will never buy Hoover again, now currently waiting for the sales to buy another Bosch.
Summary: Having purchased this machine 18 months ago the bearings have failed. Hoover not at all helpful unless you want to take out their over priced extended warrantee. Feel like just sending it the tip and buying from a different manufacturer. Would never buy hoover again!!
Summary: Bought this machine October 2008 - nothing but problems. Different error messages coming up had a new pump put in last year cost £100. Now displaying error 14 when wash finishes - heating circuit fault. Can't afford a new one so washing in cold water! Won't be buying Hoover again.
Summary: Purchased this machine based on Hoover's good reputation.... Never again! Its just 3 years old, It eats my sons expensive football shirts, its munched its way through expensive cotton towels, No fault can be found = no compensation (About £250 worth of clothing and Towels to date)It periodically leaks on the floor although no fault can be traced. Its noisey and tends to clank and bang despite not being anywhere near the 7 kilo wet weight limit.
Summary: Our machine is now 2 years and a half years old and I cannot wait for the day when it gives up the ghost completely and we have an excuse to replace it! It was just outside of the warranty when the door lock first refused to release and we had to wait an age before it would allow us access to the wet laundry. Ever since then it does this on a regular basis.
