I have the IWL - 16 eco intuitive fisher paykel washer. I like the fact that it has low water consumption; does clothes fairly quickly for an eco friendly product. It also seems to wash fairly well - when it works. I have had problems with an error code stating a power cut since the 2 year warranty expired. About every 14 months I have to call in a repair person. The first time they couldn't figure out what was wrong and insisted it was the electricity in my house. The second time it was fixed but only temporarily. I guess I need to call them back again. I assume it is an easy fix; some kind of lose wire on the control panel. It is just a pain. I will add that this is the second and last Fisher Paykel washing machine that I have owned in a little over 10 years. The first one had a costly control panel that went out after 5 years. I stupidly decided to give FP another chance. Wow what a mistake! Maybe I just am prone to get lemons. They are eco friendly in terms of water usage but you have to buy two for the length of time other washers last. This doesn't seem very eco friendly.

  • "Power Cut - restarting in 10 seconds" message?

Our Fisher&Paykel IWL16 is displaying message - "Power Cut - restarting in 10 seconds." Nowhere in the owner's manual is a solution offered. I tried unplugging machine from the wall, waiting 60 seconds and replugging and starting, and yet the message still flashes. It restarts and continues the cycle, but what is causing this in the first place. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I think there's some technical problem with your machine. Get a technician
