Excerpt: I have to say I was hesitant to buy Electrolux. My local appliance retailer said they have had very few problems with the brand. I bought a washer and dryer. If they give me 10 plus years of service it will be a great decision. Otherwise they are no different than all the rest that die in 5-7 years. Fingers crossed.
Excerpt: I love my new washer and dryer, but confused about some of the settings. I would push on a particular setting, but would be unable to change any of the settings that go along with it. (water temp, etc) The favorites I have trouble finding how to lock them in and how I find them afterwards. The specialty settings I couldn't find those at all. I think that the most bothersome is that if I choose a setting, and I want to change the water setting or spin setting I can't.
Summary: The direction the doors opens can be flipped which is great as we didn't take that into consideration with our laundry room set up (washer right, dryer left). Dryer does not come with a plug, $20 at lowes. Don't forget to install the T on the cold water so you can have the steam function on the dryer. Shipping company dropped the items off in the garage which was nice.
Summary: I purchased these a few months ago after scouring this site reading all the reviews for many different products. The curbside residential delivery was a huge let down. These are very heavy machines and I wanted to make sure that whoever was bringing them to my door would be able to get them inside. Installation is easy as long as they get them through the door.
Summary: I will keep this simple. The set looks great and has many settings. The washer holds a LOT of laundry - keep in mind if you have pets that shed, you will be wiping the rubber seal around the opening to remove the excess hair. I leave the door open to dry after I am finshed using so it doesn't develop any mildew. So far so good. The dryer also has a large capacity. It is easy to clean out the lint tray.
