Financial Manager

Lucy Kempf, Staples

  • Excerpt: We were very skeptical about purchasing the two-way radios. But as it turns out; this is one of the best products we had purchased for our company in a long time. It has made it so much easier to reach our staff. Even though we have 3 phone lines in our office, and each residential facility has their own separate line as well, it has often been difficult to communicate between the office and the facilities. The phone lines are usually tied up with outside calls.

Not bad for the price

JARED W., Newegg
22 September 2014
  • Summary: Best bang for your buck if you're using these in an office environment. I only use them at low power, so I can't make any claims about high-power use. Make sure if you plan to use them for high power to get the full 20 mile range, that you plan ahead for your FCC license. Otherwise, if you interrupt police/radio/military bands by accident, they'll probably track you down and slap a hefty fine on you.
  • Pros: Small, rechargeable, comes with power supply, easy to use
  • Cons: Can't leave them on while charging. Need FCC license to use them at high power. Low power receives interference...intermittent on some, constant on others (I bought two sets, one of the four individual radios gets interference static bursts on a regular basis, the other 3 do not). No flat surface to stand them up. Belt clip is just plastic, no spring tensioners on it...so if you use it on your pockets it tends to fall pretty easily. Definitely meant for belt use only,...

Brand New & Won't Charge

Truck Top, Staples

  • Excerpt: We purchased 6 of these for use at work. Two of them refuse to charge. They are one of the least expensive ones for a reason. The old adage is correct -- you get what you pay for. I would rate these 5 stars if we could get the other 2 handsets to charge.

Cobra manufactures "the Best" walkie talkies!

Annie from Floral Park, NY, Sonic Electronix
14 December 2013
  • Conclusion: We have always used Cobra walkie talkies on cruises (39 in 13 years). Unfortunately, we needed to cancel the latest cruise so we have not used our latest Cobra purchase, other than to check it out - I found it to work perfectly, as advertised. Because of the security codes, I was able to set up the channel I have always used, the main reason for purchasing the Model CXT235.
