Excerpt: I recieved mine in the mail Tuesday. After opening, I found that 1 of the radios had a volume issue. I called B&H and they sent me a UPS print out label to return them the next day in the original box. There was no hassle and it was a Cobra defficiency, not B&H's fault. The next Monday I had already recieved my 2nd set and they worked flawlessly. Amazing customer support. Test them as soon as you get them.
Excerpt: These will go to great use as our preschool doesn't have phones or intercoms in our classes so instead of our teachers having to use their cells we now have an easy way to communicate with each other.
Summary: Used this when my family went to the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. It was a great way to split up and let the older kids ride the big rides while the little ones were on other side of boardwalk. Really came in handy when cells phones died.
Summary: Awesome radios that are clear, easy too use, and small in size. There is one flaw that could be corrected in my opinion. The ringer cannot be silenced. The only time it's an issue is if someone using a different brand radio hits the call button. If another Cobra user presses the call button it can be set to vibrate. Other than that, these radios work very well.
Summary: Excellent 2-way communication. I use them on a new construction site, a multi story building. Other radios, and our cell phones do not work inside the building, the Cobra CXR925 works great- clear and strong.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Clear Signal, Compact, Good Sound
Summary: I live in a small housing district that's located in the country in Central TX. I did a range check once I received these. Keep in mind it was only in one direction from the home. In this particular direction there was a smattering of houses, some trees and rolling terrain. The distance farthest communication was 3.5 miles. I'm sure it would be less in more hilly country and more in more open country.
