Wish it was slightly better at non stick

Joelle A., Newegg
10 January 2015
  • Pros: Works great and was super cheap
  • Cons: Make sure to hit it with some non stick or you will have two waffles in one maker

Matthew K., Newegg

  • Summary: I got this on sale for 25$ and don't regret it. if you see it for 20$ or less I'd recommend jumping on it ^^
  • Pros: Makes waffles Quick Easy
  • Cons: Light clicks when its done but if you're not listening you could miss it (though you should be watching it for safety xD ) Doesn't make bacon, though i haven't tried to make bacon xD

Great Waffles, poor product design

Jeff Wright, Amazon
4 February 2014
  • Summary: This is one of the poorest built items that I have ever purchased. Clearly Cuisinart is not doing adequate quality control, at least for this product. We liked the waffles it made, but really, the quality of the waffles has more to do with the batter than the waffle maker.

Stinks like a petrochemical factory!

Anonymous, Newegg
30 January 2014
  • Summary: The manufacturer sent a new one which is just as bad or worse than the first one. There must be a design or manufacturing change since the earlier favorable reviews posted here.
  • Pros: Makes an OK waffle, which doesn't stick, if you can stand the odor produced from the unit. We could not stand it.
  • Cons: We used this less often than planned because although the waffles were good, a foul odor smelled up the house during cooking which took the edge off our appetites. We tried 4 or 5 times over 10 months then gave up and returned it under warranty.

Oh right, that's why I hate waffle irons!

Jessica, Amazon
27 February 2013
  • Summary: I was gifted a waffle iron a good 10+ years ago; it looked a lot like the one I've bought again. Almost instantly I am reminded why I used the first waffle iron I had once and let it collect dust until I donated it when I moved last.

Eggcellent

Christopher W., Newegg
23 January 2012
  • Pros: Amazing machine. Perfect waffles every time. No sticking at all. Even comes with recipes for some basic waffles. (The kids love the banana choc chip waffles.)
  • Cons: Only makes 1 at a time. (..but I new that when I purchased it.)

User Review

Daniel G., Newegg
10 December 2011
  • Summary: Hard to find classic waffle makers.
  • Pros: It works well, other than having to add additional no-stick spray to keep waffles from sticking.
  • Cons: The temperature control lever broke off within a couple of months of usage.

Pretty Good Waffles, Poor Quality Design

Amazon Customer, Amazon
26 November 2011
  • Summary: On the plus side, we have been getting waffles which are consistently done to the level we select. After the first one or two waffles when this was new we have had no trouble with sticking. Now for the problems. 1) The handle is short and placed where the steam comes out as the maker opens.

WMR-CA: Great value

jim06019, shopping.com
16 November 2011
  • Excerpt: We bought the WMR-CA waffle maker to replace our 30+ year old one, which finally bit the dust. We decided we didn't need an expensive one, and found this one on sale. After 5 or 6 uses, we couldn't be happier.
  • Pros: Easy to use, indicator lights accurate, cooks evenly
  • Cons: None found yet
