Summary: This waffle iron exceeds expectations in all categories. It is (simple) easy to operate. The waffles are better than with the older model because the cover is lighter weight. Thus, it doesn't compress the waffles.
Summary: I read lots of reviews before I purchased this waffle iron. I sprang for the extra dollars to buy the one with the sound to let me know when the iron is hot and when the waffles are done -- a great investment! Waffles are cooked evenly and quickly; turn out really good, too. I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Summary: We bought this as a gift to our daughter's family and were able to use it on a visit there. I like it's performance and styling very much. It's so nice to have freshly baked waffles and it does this quite evenly and relatively quickly with little sticking. We liked it enough to order one for ourselves and were very disappointed that they REFUSE TO SHIP TO OUR ADDRESS IN HAWAII.
Summary: I am happy with this product, however two things that could be improved are: The cooking is not consistent from waffle to waffle. Also the case is not designed well since overflow gets caught in the seem.
Summary: I have been wanting a good waffle iron for a long time. Recently we stayed at a bed and breakfast and were served waffles one morning. They were delicious and perfect, popped right out of the iron. Now you know something like this gets a good workout at a B and B on a continual basis. I asked our host what kind it was and he showed me the owners booklet and said he'd had it for 3 years.
Summary: I had given up on waffle irons, having only used much older ones. I decided to try one more time. This one works great. Round is good for waffles, the adjustbale heat allows you to custom how crisp you want the waffles to be....and the chime alerting you to "donenes" insures success.
Summary: I wish I would have gotten the waffle iron earlier. The one it replaced was 36 years old. We got it as a wedding present and didn't realize that it was so slow in heating up and cooking. The New Cusinart heats up very rapidily and cooks the waffles to perfection in just a minute or so. It beeps when ready. So far, the "non-stick" feature works great. I do use a little "Pam" occasionaly and I would highly recommend it.
Summary: I purchased this waffle iron because my husband wanted regular old fashioned waffles. This waffle iron does cook homemade waffles well - the bell to let you know that they are done is terrific. However, I don't know how much 'abuse' this waffle maker will take. The hinge connecting it is 'wiggly' and I'm very careful handling the iron.
Summary: I'm not sure if some of the older reviews here are of an earlier version of this item, or if they're reviewing Cuisinart's other non-Belgian wafflemaker (I'm thinking of the reviewer who thought this had modern styling) , but this item does NOT have a lock, nor does it stand on its side. Also, you should note that it's been discontinued, according to Cuisinart's website.
Summary: This is our second one. We used the first many years and it makes the best waffles. You spray a little PAM on the iron, and select a setting. We find that 4 is good. You close the iron and wait for the alarm bell telling you that the iron is hot. You put in the mix and close the lid. It beeps when the waffle is done. It comes out perfect every time.I only hope they keep making this model.
