Summary: I've spent money on VOIP phones and with VISTA bugging with them all the time decided to buy the Netgear. Plug in and use it - how easy? I'm impressed with it despite the dodgy ringtones. There aren't any alternatives yet unless you want to spend £100's. So if you want a phone that's permanently logged into skype regarless of computer being on this is the phone for you.
Summary: This phone works a treat for outbound and inbound skype calls. This phone saves me 75 quid a month on international calls. Clear call quality with no delay around the house, good battery life and easy to set up.
Summary: No trouble with the installation - approx 15 mins. Worked as expected with great clarity. Performed the firmware upgrade which failed the 1st time but performed the upgrade on the 2nd attenpt. The reviewer who said it looked and felt cheap, should perhaps buy the Rolls Royce model next time.
Summary: Just plug and play and it worked fine out of the box. The batteries were even already charged up. I have a (not much used) Skype account and it just loaded up all the contacts from the internet account. Looking up the charges, SkypeOut is 1.4p per min for landlines with a 3.3p connection fee (18866 and similar is a 5p connection fee and then free). SkypePro is probably better as there is no per minute fee for landlines.
Summary: I did a lot of research for my new Skype and Land Line Phone, having ordered from Amazon I new any problems they would sort if I needed, but why I should have worried is beyond me, this Netgear SPH200D Dual-Mode Cordless Phone with Skype is Brilliant. A absolute ease to set up plug and play (as long as you have your Skype account set up already on line or your computer) No hassle took me 5 minutes at most and that was routing the cables, sound is good on handset and...
Summary: I was looking for a skype dual phone that would also offer speakerphone, have a headset jack and allow for chat online (typing). Panasonic did not offer this last feature and the other brands did not offer headset jacks at a decent price. This phone has it all and is affordable too! It really is plug in and play - another triumph. Though netgear will not endorse any headsets for the headset jack - the one I have (no brand of significance) works perfectly.
Summary: Set up is a Breeze. Little colour screen is a joy. Call quality for Skype is very good. You must set up you Skype account with a PC but once it is up a running, this device means your PC is not needed for Skype. On the whole, great.
Summary: This product is awesome - great skype and normal phone. 3 small problems: * no in built answerphone for the landline * no contacts held in the phone - you have to enter them all into skype * when i first set it up there was no sound. trawled the web and found out that i needed to hit the reset button which fixed it. netgear support emailed me three days later with the same recommendation. apart from the small gripes, awesome.
Summary: I've had a wireless netgear router for a few years now and its been excellent, so when I started thinking about finally ditching the skype headset for some more practical VOIP handsets I went straight to the Netgear site to check out their offerings. I was a bit concerned that there seemed to be so few reviews around on their products in this area, but decided to take the plunge with both the SPH200D and one additional handset (the SPH150D).
Summary: Hola a todos de nuevo.
