Excerpt: Got this free with my lav kit. I've had a lot of experience with these and there is definitely room for improvement. The mics are easy to snap off, and if your batteries die, you lose the current recording! Major flaw!

Excerpt: I use the H4N recording with an external xlr microphone or connected to a mixboard in 4ch mode. We record live events, interviews... etc I've been using it for almost a year. I have mixed feelings about the H4N.
