Summary: the price sounds really steep, however you're getting recording quality far beyond what any small device offers (including top smart phones) and not that far from professional equipment that you pay top dollar for. It's really good value for money. Won't be disappointed. The controls could be a little more intuitive, but you'll quickly get used to them.
Summary: I wanted a device to record sound from a video oriented field mixer. The DR-07, using both the mic input and the line input, and a quality external mic and mixer, does a great job of recording sound. If you use the built-in microphones, the results are not as good. If you are trying to record quiet ambient sound with the built-in mics, there will be some hiss. If you are recording louder sounds, the built-in mics will do fine.
Summary: For less than 100 $/€ what you get WAV, MP£, 16-24 bit, recorded on sd card, I used two of them to recorded movie, as sound recording, with a lavalier microphone connected with 3.5 jack, the sound is not broadcast standard (you have to spend +- 1000$-2000$, with a sound assistant), and is good enough, for web, small prod, pilot, short, indi, clip.....
Summary: I have a small rehearsal space in my finished basement that I wanted to use to not only practice with my bandmates, but be able to record what we did so that I could email it to everyone after each practice so that we could work on what we did. Well, overall, I spent about an hour reading the instructions on how to use it, and it has worked great ever since.
Summary: Easy to use low cost rehearsal recorder. I like it! Set it and forget it. The difference between the this and the more expensive is the quality of the limiter and mikes. But for just recording song ideas and rehearsal reviews, nothing beats it!
Summary: I was looking for a small digital recorder that I could take to our band practices and record our sessions.... my old portable Panasonic cassette recorder wasn't cutting it anymore. There are several choices out there from $89 to $1800 for portable recorders, but lets face it, most folks are going to stay in the reasonably priced range $100-$400, and for all of the choices out there I liked the size and feel of this one the best.
