Excerpt: I needed a second battery pack to work with my Tascam DR-100mkII. This does the job very nicely. One of these batteries will last over 4 hours on a typical shoot, sometimes longer. Recommended.
Excerpt: I picked up a Tascam DR-100 used that didn't have this battery, and don't know what I was thinking. The Tascam will drain AA batteries super quickly, even with the battery mode switched on. Now that I have this lithium battery we're good to go for a couple hours no problem. It charges fast and holds a charge nicely.
Excerpt: I bought this as a second battery because the one I have doesn't seem to last all that long. It will die after 2-3 hours worth of recording and takes forever to recharge. So if I have a long day of interviews and field recording, I need a backup fully charged battery as well as the AA's.
Excerpt: I actually use this for the DR-100, it is the same as the one that comes with that unit. These are great little batteries, one will last about 4-5 hours off and on use, even while powering a shotgun mic. 2 of these last me pretty much every shoot day I have. (I use the AA battery pack as an emergency backup) The only thing I caution: DO NOT let these get hot. Overheating is the fastest way to kill a battery.
Excerpt: I use this one for the DR100, and the only problem I see it that it takes too long to recharge via the USB port, and there is no charger included with the DR100, so you have to get it as an accesory.
