Summary: What I received is not what was ordered. or pictured. The advertised product was a Sony M-570V and what I received was a 507V. A cheap microcassette that could can be purchased in a variety of other nameplates for half the price new. May be an honest mistake but will not deal with them again.
Summary: Bought this item because our owner goes through tapes and recorders often and it is hard to find ones that are not digital. Works as it should, no complaints. Works the same as other similar models by different manufacturers.
Summary: I bought these because my husband was going over seas and i wanted to still hear his voice. These are really good you can hear the voice clearly and the recording is exellent too. I enjoyed using them while he was away and I will be using them again in the future for ideas and to remember certin things.
Summary: Working well so far. I do medical transcription for an "old school" doctor still dictating on microcassette. Sony is the only one that works well. These are getting very hard to find without having to pay outrageous money for them.
Summary: This recorder has never worked. I have taken it to different people and they can not get it to work either. I should have returned it but I was not sure if there was anything wrong until I took it to other people to try out and then it was to late to return.
Summary: I am bidding on the 570's because I had one and used it so much, it finally died, but I am used to this model. I am also bidding on the other models by Sony because sometimes I need to use an external microphone and the 570 does not have a port for that. But I tried digital recorders, and there is no way to save the recordings when the digital folders get full, so I am back to microcassette recorders. I wish the manufacturers would keep making them.
Summary: Crap! After one year of moderate use the recorder fails to rewind correctly. Sound quality was good, but the mechanics failed. A useless piece of equipment when you can't fast forward or rewind. Must be made in China. The panasonic replacement is better, but I wish we could buy things that are made in USA that have better design and durability. Oh, well.
