Summary: It lasted almost 9 months or so. Anything made in China is junk. These microcassettes are hard to find because most recorders are electronic. We buy used now from ebay because Sony wants around $300 for new, and they don't last long.
Summary: I am diappointed in the quality of sound and the static that it seems to pick up from the background. Also, the earlier microcassette recorders that I have purchased were made of a more durable metal material as opposed to plastic (?) Nor have I ever paid this much for a recorder before.
Summary: I've bought other units in the past and they were not as good quality. The sound recordings are great. It is very light. It felt a bit cheaply made, but that being said it really has done a great job.
Summary: We use microcassette recorders daily and for the money spent, expect it to perform. We purchased this in January and it failed within three months. It stops mid-recording and is no better than a brick. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
Summary: This recorder is about as good as it gets when it comes to dictating. The recorder is easy to use, has great clarity and, unlike other recorders I have recently purchased (and either threw out or returned broken), it actually operates as it should.
