The Sony ICD-SX850 is a digital voice recorder with 4 GB built-in memory, and supports PC connectivity. It also supports stereo and mono channel, recording format in MP3, Linear PCM, LPEC stereo and LPEC mono; ability to store up to 340 messages and 1012 folders (999 messages in 1 folder), earphone jack, microphone-in jack, and is powered by two NiMH AAA rechargeable battery. This provides users with up to 356 hours and 45 minutes of STLP recording time and up to 70 hours and 10 minutes of STHQ recording time. The recorder also supports up to 71 hours and 15 minutes of MP3 recording time (at 128 kbps), and stores up to 1068 MP3 songs. Other features on the digital voice recorder include Voice-Operated Recording (VOR), Digital Pitch Control, PC Data Storage, Directional microphone, MP3 music playback, Digital Voice Up and USB Charge. It supports a 16 mm 150mW speaker, and an overall frequency response of 50Hz - 3,500 Hz for LP recording, 50Hz - 6,000 Hz for SP, 50Hz - 16,500 Hz for ST, 50 - 7,000Hz for STLP and 50Hz - 20,000Hz for STHQ. The Sony ICD-SX850 measures 31.3 x 130.0 x 15.4mm and weighs 77g.
