Works good but no on/off button

d2surbrook384, Ebay
4 January 2013
  • Summary: This is a good recorder. It has clarity and is easy to use. the only drawback is the fact that it does not have any way to turn it completely off. The batteries have to be removed or they will go dead.

Digital voice recorder with VR software

rebecca, J&R
10 July 2009
  • Summary: I needed a handheld device to record legal consultations, hearings depositions and my dictation for my legal assistants. I also hoped to minimize the turnaround time for transcribing my dictation or in some cases eliminate it. I wanted a device that could store audio content such as client consultations and hearings and depositions, so that I could go back and listen to these events to refresh our memories. I also wanted to try the voice recognition software again.
  • Pros: Compact Design, High Quality Sound, Reliable

Recorded great… The software… Who knows?

Fenevad, Beach Audio
25 September 2007
  • Summary: I was quite happy with the recorder itself. The only drawback I see is that the little joystick-type controller is a little sensitive to lateral pressure when you try to press it down, so sometimes it misinterprets what you're doing, but it was not hard to overcome this. The recorder itself is very sensitive (it could easily pick up conversations in another room and make a clear recording) and the interface is reasonably intuitive.
  • Pros: Compact Design, High Quality Sound, Long Battery Life, Reliable
  • Cons: Software is XP only

Strange user interface

2 August 2007
  • Summary: The first thought that went through my mind when i openedthe package was, What was Sony thinking?Everything except play, record and stop is controlled via ajoystick on the front panel. It's counter-intuitive andannoying. I bought this recorder because it is the highest ratedrecorder for Dragon Naturally Speaking 9. And, it evenincludes a copy of DNS 9! But what they don't tell you isthat the version of DNS included with the recorder is acrippled version called Recorder.
