The Sony ICD-BX800 is a digital voice recorder that features Microphone Sensitivity Function, and recording features such as Digital Voice Operated Recording (VOR), Overwrite, Add, and Divide. It also features a on-screen clock, an electret consender stereo microphone, a headphone jack, 2 GB built-in flash memory that stores up to 22 hours and 15 minutes of SHQ-44.1kHz/192k recording, 33 hours and 20 minutes of HQ-44.1kHz/128k recording, 89 hours of SP-44.1kHz/48k and 534 hours and 25 minutes of LP-11.025kHz/8k recording. The Sony ICD-BX800 measures 0.7 x 4.31 x 1.36 and weighs 2.3oz with batteries. The unit also features a Full Function Display, and data can be arranged according to 5 folders. Audio is streamed via a 1 1/8 inch diameter built-in speaker, and is powered by two AAA batteries that provides up to 30 hours of playback time.

The Sony ICD-BX800 digital voice recorder provides users with up to 534 hours of recording capacity via 2GB flash memory. Designed in an ultra-light form factor, the recorder features selectable microphone sensitivity and is equipped with voice operated recording which starts and stops recording automatically. It also features Dictation Correction which allows users to overwrite recordings during playback to replace any incorrect information. Other features include digital pitch control, A-B repeat function, stereo microphone jack, and alarm function.
