I've never seen them priced over $40, except here. 2. For me, these units last about 1-2 years of heavy use. The Hold and Erase switches fail, and there is no way to retrieve the messages stored in memory at that point. 3.

Summary: I have now had this unit for over 5 years and it is very easy to use. I have some disabilities, so I often must use this as my memory at important appointments. If it was hard to use, I would be the first one to say so. It always produces clear, distinct, and easy-to-hear and understand recordings of people talking in all kinds of venues. The best thing that I can say is simply that it works "...as advertised".
