Summary: very nice recorder for the money. I use it for Bible study class and does a very nice job. Picks up voice really well from anywhere in the room. I can sit in the back of room and still picks up voice no problem. The only thing I don't like is that you have to pause and resume every half hour before it shuts down. When I come home I take a cord and run from headphone jack to pc audio input and use free audacity download to transfer files to mp3 format.
Summary: I bought this item to use during choir rehearsals. It is very clumsy to use for this purpose, as while you're waiting for your part to be played to record it, the device invariably turns off. Then you have to wait for it to boot up again, and then start recording again. In addition, playback is not always top-quality, as it skips. This is not good for practice purposes afterward.
Summary: It doesn't work. the batteries do not sustain a connection. I know the batteries are good yet when they are inserted nothing happens. I thought I must be doing something wrong till I read the other reviews.
Summary: Over all the unit functions as advertised - however - my maim drawback was the time it takes for the unit to "boot-up" from a cold start so one can then record a "thought." Being over 60 the thoughts do not last long and with no way to record on paper while driving - my thought was this would be quite handy - but with a 30 seconfd "boot-up" and my old thoughts - by the time the unit was ready to record - it was no longer useful.
