Summary: Was sold as 'new' and when it arrived, saw immediately that it was not even close to 'new'. Cleaned it up and put batteries in it, had to jiggle the buttons several times to get it to work. It would work some times and not work other times. I do life reviews and needed a recorder I can trust. Thanks to Amazon's incredible return policy, it was returned with ease.
Summary: Not a good recorder at all. The voices are muffled and hard to understand and it runs at a weird speed. NO matter how fast or slow the person giving dictation speaks when you play it back it can come out slow or fast. You just never can tell. It's like roulette.
Summary: I've had this machine for about three weeks and I haven't been able to get it to work. Yet the spindle spins like it is working, but when I turn it so I can hear what may have been recorded. I hear nothing in the information I got with it was not very enlightening.
Summary: Very poor construction, the buttons are like thin aluminum, buttons are hard to push down, and tapes got stuck when playing them..and I lost some very precious tapes of family memories. I would not recommend, and want to send back.
Summary: Purchased for my 91 year old mother who has many cassettes and no longer had a player. It has a head phone jack which was important for her due to her less than stellar hearing and it was so easy to use. She often has problems with steps for operating things but caught right on and is loving it probably as I review it.
Summary: these recorders are difficult to find. most are refurbished and do not work well. sellers typically charge ridiculous prices because they know we technology challengded baby boomers will pay almost any asking price. however, this recorder works perfectly. the sound quality is clear. it was very reasonably priced.
Summary: I purchased this for my son, who has a lot of cassette tapes. It worked pretty well for about a year. Unfortunately, even though he was careful with it, it has already "died". Not very much value for the money.
