Summary: This only worked occasionally which was very frustrating. I bought it for my 89 year old dad who was trying to record his life story for us. Summary: The recorder has a lot of background humming in the playback mode. I would NOT recommend this. The voice activation is slow on the start and cuts off the first part of every word when you restart after a pause. VERY DISAPPOINTED :-(
Summary: I bought 3, and glad I did. The first never worked. Return cost not worth mailing back a piece of junk. The second and third are used in 2 locations; they eat batteries, sometimes I'll stop to hear what I've dictated and only get static on one of them, until I shake it a few times.
Summary: This dictaphone is replacing one that broke. Unfortunately “they” can’t make a digital voice recorder with a pause button, which is essential for me. In fact the pause button is the only good reason I can think of for getting a mini-cassette tape recorder instead of a digital voice recorder, well...
