Summary: I ordered the Philips because of the design of the buttons. It looked easy to use and mostly is. One fault, though, is if you change your mind about deleting an item, it's hard to back out of the menu. I think I had to turn it off. Another disappointment is that I cannot delete just a part of a recording, to edit it down. Lastly, was excited to know that I could add mp3 files to the recorder. I am disappointed it doesn't play them as well.
Summary: I purchased this unit for my wife, who is currently in Pharmacy School. She absolutely LOVES it! It's tiny enough to fit in her pocket and unobtrusive enough to sit on her desk during class. The only drawback is that there is no removable memory card and there isn't a built-in USB plug (you have to carry the cord around with you). Although with 192 hours of recording time--it's doubtful that you're going to need the cord very often.
Great Digital Voice Recorder that Works with a Macs
Colter Winchester "Colt", Amazon
1 July 2010
Summary: My criteria for purchasing a digital voice recorder was the ability for the device to work with an Apple Computer, and this product did just that. After connecting the recorder to my MacBook using the included usb cable, the device showed up as a flash drive on my desktop and I was able to access my files. The audio files transferred right over and played properly in iTunes and through VLC.
Summary: I bought this because I am a writer, and sometimes I want to capture a thought in a hurry. There are times when I get an idea just as I'm going to sleep or as a dream that I wake up with. I wanted this to be ready on my nightstand. It has an excellent feature for this: one-touch record. You just hold the REC button down for a second, and it comes on live without having to turn the power on first.
Simply GREAT! Fast with MAC OSX, HQ voice recording.

Summary: Great Voice Recorder! -Simply to use. -High Quality sound -very fast connection USB. I'm using Mac OSX 10.4 (soon upgrading to snow leopard) I just plugged in the Philips LFH0602/00, immediately was read by my imac I found the file I wanted to download which was already an MP3 file and in virtually no time I'm listening to it on iTunes. I was "far away" (5 feet more or less) from the person I was recording, using HQ and Low reduction noise settings.
Summary: I used it to record the conversation when I do psychotherapy with patients, voice activated, clear, easily drag the file onto the computer desktop, you can sent the file in MP3 through the e-mail. Overall, very good product, light weight, easy to use. I would recommend this product to everyone.
