Summary: First, for Linux users: setup under wine 1.6.1 in my 64-bit Ubuntu derivative distro took a little effort. I had to install to a 32-bit wineprefix, and the program would only accept my training recording as a .wav file. After training, a number of bugs impeded the full functionality of the software.
For capturing voice - excellent; For Dragon, not so much.

Summary: I broke my old Digital Voice Recorder and decided to spring for this one. I already had Dragon Naturally Speaking on my computer, and it worked just fine, but this recorder comes with Dragon software to convert the audio files directly into text.
Summary: I use this to track my ideas and it's awesome! I've used Dragon Speak Naturally before and I've always been impressed by it's accuracy. This device comes with a "lite" version of dragon Speak Naturally, so you basically speak into the digital transcriber, plug it into your computer and it types up...
Summary: Right now we are having problems. We have loaded it in with profile user but we have been unable to locate the file for the speech that was made. We are having someone look at the computer tonight and if it doesn't work we may have to return for an easier model.
