Works perfectly

B. C. Flippo, Amazon
21 April 2014
  • Summary: A great cassette player/recorder that works like a charm. The construction feels solid to me and the speaker sounds clear as a bell. I'm hooking this up to my computer and transferring some old tapes I have to CD. And this player is so good I'll even transfer some audio CD's to cassette!

I love "Retro"

Plato, Amazon
2 April 2014
  • Summary: I don't write many reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one. First off, kudos to the vendor who is still selling this "retro" product. I know we have hi-tech digital recorders and what not. I own and use them too. I went back to school for a doctorate and record all of my lectures on a smaller tape recorder I bought from Radio Shack years ago. It's a workhorse and I'm afraid it will someday kick the bucket.

Panasonic RQ2102

John Reader, Amazon
22 February 2014
  • Summary: I bought one for myself and it is really, really a nice machine. I have had recorders for the years and this is one of the best. I use it to replay Sunday services that I have recorded in the past and also to practice Morse Code so I can decipher code I hear on shortwave radio. I am an Amateur Ham Radio man. Then I bought on for my father who is 107 years old.

Back to the old tried & true

Emily Arriaga, Amazon
16 February 2014
  • Summary: With all of today's complicated technology (at least for us old folks), it never hurts to have an easy to work reliable recorder. This was actually purchased on behalf of a friend who ended up not needing it. I have found that it comes in very handy. Great for recording lectures, so you can clearly hear them again better & be sure to have complete notes.

I hate it!

Pat Walz "_Pat_", Amazon
10 November 2013
  • Summary: The buttons on this recorder stick and are hard to use. I cannot record on it without trying to push record and play several times to get them to stay down. Forget about trying to pause while recording, it simply won't do it. It quite frankly is a piece of cheap garbage.

A real work horse!!

Diane MacLean, Amazon
7 November 2013
  • Summary: This cassette player is a real work horse. My daughter is autistic and LOVES to play her cassettes over and over and over again.. going back and forth with forward/rewind buttons.. this machine is going on a yr old now and it still plays all her OLD and newer cassettes w/o any 'eating' of tapes or stretching them.. Definitely a winner for those who play cassettes allot. In fact I'm ordering another one before these become extinct!

Not Suitable For Music Recording

ishootlucky, Amazon
23 October 2013
  • Summary: First of all this records with a DC bias, which is not listed in the description. There is a noticeable difference between AC and DC bias recorders, with AC sounding much clearer. This recorder also cuts off all "bass" sounds completely, and turns up the treble. You'll be able to hear vocals very well but not the drums or bass guitar. I would say this recorder is ideal for voice recordings only.
