Summary: I have been using the 560M for a couple of years and it has worked flawlessly. It has been superseded by models that record in MP3 format. The recordings on the 560M must be converted to MP3 if that is what you want to do. There are dedicated (and free) WMA-MP3 converters that do this job very efficiently, but that is the only drawback of this very sleek and very light recorder.
Summary: Good voice recorder, rechargeable Ni-MH AAA battery, USB jack slides out the bottom for upload to PC. Very capable device, good sound quality. Have used with Dragon Naturally Speaking, so far so good. GRIPE: To recharge, slide USB jack out, HOLD STOP BUTTON, and plug into USB port. Um, not great. Forget to push the button the right way, no charging happens, with no alert (silent FAIL).
Summary: I use this recorder to record messages preached at a local church. I hook a lapel microphone to it and drop the recorder into my pocket. It works wonderfully. The recorder comes with a rechargeable AAA battery; however, one can use a standard AAA as well. It recharges when plugged into the computer, but only when you place it in recharge mode.
