Summary: the recorder is fine the directions are awful. I finally went to the friend that has one and asked what I was doing wrong and she said the directions were not correct. She told me what to do and at last I have success in using the product. If it had not been for my friend I would have sent it back. Everyone out here is not electronic savy so it would help if the directions were simple and in steps. Thank you for listening.
Easier that my last, but not as easy as the old tape recorders.

Summary: It is easier than the last one I had, but I still have trouble successfully rewinding without it going to the very beginning. As for recording, it is great! It certainly is going to have a learning curve. I wish people with English as a first language would write the instruction books.
Summary: I wanted to use this to record tunes that I can add to my I tunes on Mac. All recordings are in WMA and Mac is not instantly able to convert WMA to MP3 or other sound files compatible with iTunes on a Mac. Software is available for conversion at a price but it still requires time and manipulations that are not desirable. Better to find a voice recorder that records in MP3. Saving time and energy. I am sure the recorder is good for use with Windows.
Summary: This is the 4th digital recorder I have purchased and it is not bad but not the best one I have purchased. The sound pick up is not as good as the WS 100. I have used both at the same time and it is harder to hear on this one than the older one. I like the buttons being on the front and the display being bigger but when it comes down to it the purpose of a recorder is to record what is being said and this is a weakness in my opinion.
