Summary: I was impressed with the recorder. It took me a bit to get used to the fact that if you hit the rewind button without keeping it pressed, it goes back to the beginning. Other than that, it's worth the price. Good deal.
Summary: Picked up conversation from a cell phone that was on speaker when the VN-7200 wasn't particularly close to the cell phone, and the quality of the recording is quite good. I can hear what the person on the phone is saying as easily as the people who were in the room.

Summary: You can load recordings to computer by connecting a patch cord from the recorders ear phone jack to the computers line in (blue) jack on the back of the computer. Turn the volume out of the recorder way down at first so as not to overload the computers sound input. P.S.
Summary: I bought this device with the intention of recording Foley sound effects, yet I neglected to see that it has no means of sending data to a PC. I did find a workaround by using a 3.5mm cable from the device's ear output to my PC's line in and can document audio like so.
Summary: I am a writer and often have ideas when I am not where I can jot them down. This recorder works well and I'm able to capture the idea immediately. I love that it has different folders to store things under, makes it easy to separate my ideas into promotional, fiction, website, and blogs.
