Summary: Maybe the indispensable tool for record your ideas and toughs, I have one, but was stolen, a need to buy one or maybe two, really great companion for your life. If you have many ideas you need this voice recorder !
Summary: I love this recoder because its small and easy to operate.my 10yr old daughter likes it too for messages. we even used it for recorded her school concert! (the only problem it seems to have it uses up batterylife very quickly!) great price!
Summary: While you can record your voice with any number of electronic gadgets theses days - from your phone to your PDA - the Olympus VN2100 is far superior to most "do everything" devices. With a small form-factor, easy to use controls and simple file structure, the VN2100 is the best tool I've found for saving those important sonic moments. The recorded files are clear, bright and the playback volume is strikingly impressive.
Summary: . This recorder does exactly what the 'Product Description' states. The 'high quality' recording mode is excellent. I use it to record short, structured meetings. If there are five or six concurrent conversations, forget it. Using ALL rechargable batteries I can't state anything about alkaline battery life. The file transfer-to-PC time is real time. I would have preferred a faster file transfer but knew what I was purchasing. All-in-all a quite decent little recorder. .
Summary: I've only had this little guy for a couple of months, but I have tested it in various settings, with varying levels of background noise and it works like a charm in all of them. It's easy to use, relatively intuitive, is lightweight and I haven't had an issue with it yet!
Summary: This is a very easy-to-use recorder with quality sound.... As long as it's in HQ setting. However, when it's in HQ, 5 hours is all you get to record. I bought this because it boasted up to 36 hours of recording time in LP, and much to my dismay, anything recorded in LP sounds like an alien screaming while tied to a moving train. Overall, it's not bad. Not what I was looking for, but not bad.
Summary: This unit filled the bill. I bought it to give to my 80 year old mother to help her remember things. I had previously bought a "My Little Reminder" from one of those TV ads but did not even give it to her because it was such a piece of junk. The Olympus VN2100 is a high quality unit that is very easy to use, and has excellent sound clarity. There are many much more expensive units out there, but this one will do everything she will ever need it to do...and well.
