Summary: After a few "We never said that" deals with my insurance company, cable company, and ISP, I find myself recording more and more phone calls just to protect my own interests. Its a shame you can't just access the NSA archives, but for the moment I guess I'll just have to make my own recordings.
Summary: I got this device to record telephone conversations. It has done that successfully although it is a bit awkward to use. I wonder if a record from this device would be accepted as evidence in a court of law.
Summary: The new model TP-8 replaced this one. TP-7 is no longer manufactured by Olympus. Don't bother ordering the TP-7. Companies will send you the TP-8 but charge you the higher price. Happend to me twice. Just order the TP-8. It works great.
Summary: The device records very well. The earpiece is a little uncomfortable initially, but after a while (say ten minutes into the conversation) I didn't feel it any more. The big complaint is the recording level. Needs some sort of "volume control" to limit the recording level.
Summary: It could be a great recorder. You can add an extra memory card along with the already long recording time. I like the pause feature and the stereo but I cannot find out how too eliminate the beep when you start and stop recording.
Summary: It plugs into your mic jack of the voice recorder... it includes 2 other jack converters so that it will fit almost anything we'd have in the US. It has 2 alternate earpieces, soft and cushiony, to fit small or large ears.... the medium one already on it fit perfectly.
Summary: This is an ear-phone type unit. in order for it to record, you have to insert the inner-ear unit into the ear and then you use any telephone as usual. It will record anything you hear from that ear and your voice.
Summary: The only problem I have with the TP-7 is the quality of the cord. I would have liked one a little more beefy and coated with a more flexible rubberized plastic. Now to the good: everything. It is comfortable to wear and doesn't interfere with the phone or conversation.
Summary: Works outstanding with a Sony mp3 recorder. Power connector from old TP-7 run over bur CR-V. I tried to fix but was unable. I ordered from Amazon but then found that Staples carries TP-7 so I bought one. Mp3 recordings are so essential in recovery of our stolen $22,036[...
