Summary: I used it to interview a person for a job Turned it on, set it on the table and just let it go. worked perfect. Very clear. I will have no trouble transcribing from it. Plus if I want to save anything I can just connect the earphone jack to the mic jack on my computer. For the price I don't think I could do better.
Summary: I ordered this voice recorder so that I could record practice sessions on a musical instrument then critique my own playing. The quality of the recording was very disappointing. For the price I did not expect high quality sound but the actual recording was so poor that I could not accurately judge the quality of my own playing. I returned it.
Summary: I had another digital recorder; too tough to figure out ... this is a dream come true. I record my thoughts, etc. and in the next few days type it up. This is the best recorder I have ever had!
Summary: I bought this recorder mainly to record meetings. Voices at least 15 feet from the recorder were clear and it recorded without interruption for over two hours with plenty of space left. It was very easy to begin recording but it took a little time to learn the other functions. I am very happy with my choice.
Summary: I had a threefold purpose for purchasing the Olympus DP-201. First, I was looking for something that would be reasonably usable by someone who could not see the screen, secondly, I wanted a recorder that was easy to use without a whole bunch of fancy bells and whistles, and lastly, I wanted a recorder with buttons that would not be difficult for someone with normal dexterity to operate.
