Sony GV-D1000

The Sony GV-D1000 is a MiniDV Video Walkman VCR that provides entertainment for you and your family on long road trips as well as allows you to edit home videos or relive memorable events on the go.

Features

The Sony GV-D1000 is able to deliver 3x the colour bandwidth of a VHS tape with its recording format and is able to perform with significantly less video noise ration compared to analogue formats. Besides that, it also has a 4 inch LCD display for you to enjoy excellent viewing clarity with improved resolution of 123000 pixels for multiple viewing angles. In addition to that, it is also able to capture digital still images at 640 x 480 pixels resolution from video-tapes, analogue inputs or digital video i.LINK input directly onto the Memory Stick media. Captured images can then be easily transferred to PCs for emailing, printing or sharing with other compatible Memory Stick devices. The Sony GV-D1000 also allows for USB streaming for broadcasting prerecorded videos with audio, via the Internet with the USB interface. There is also an i.Link DV Interface for high speed bi-directional digital video/ audio communication between two devices of the same interface including camcorders, digital VCRs and PCs. The Sony GV-D1000 also allows for analogue-to-digital conversion with pass-through for easy PC editing. Other than that, there is also a digital program editing function that allows you to select a sequence of 20 scenes and then control dubbing via i.LINK to another i.LINK camcorder via infrared remote to an analogue VCR. In addition to that, the Sony GV-D1000 also allows you to manipulate pictures with the playback zoom function that allows you to edit your images by zooming in (up to 2 times) and cropping your picture (up, down, left, right) and then save the new image as a separate file.

  • malfunction

My GV-D1000 has a malfunction. One day, it dindn't recognize a tape, and a message (i don't remember if it was "C:41:00" or "C:21:00") appeard at top right. In this case, according to the manual, the way is to send to the dealer or to local services. After this i disconnected and then reconnected but nothing happenned. Then i pushed the reset button, but the things remained the same. No matter what tape i put there, it's always the same: no images can be viwed, and the timecode remais at zero, despite i advance or rewind the cassete. If someone has a suggestion, i'm very grateful.
