The player comes with 4-head Double Azimuth 19-micron video heads and a rotary head helical scanning FM video recording system. It covers VHF Channels 2 to 13, UHF Channels 14 to 69 and CATV Channels A-8 to A-1, A to W, and W+1 to W+84. It also has a 75-ohm antenna terminal for VHF/UHF.
Other terminals of the SLV-D350P include 2 stereo analog RCA outputs (1 for VCR and 1 for DVD), 2 digital audio outputs (1 optical and 1 coaxial for DVD), 1 composite video output, 1 component video output, 1 S-Video output, 1 RF output, 1 RF input, and 2 composite video inputs (front and rear).
The player features 3 tape speeds including Standard Play (SP) at 33.35 millimeters per second, Long Play (LP) at 16.67 millimeters per second and Extended Play (EP) at 11.12 millimeters per second.
Other features of the Sony SLV-D350P include advance recording, aspect ratio control, multi-angle viewing, custom bookmarks programming, parental controls, picture zoon, frame advance, freeze frame, forward & reverse play, reverse-frame step, screen saver, slow motion, commercial skip, auto tracking, auto head cleaning, auto clock set, and auto channel set. It also has an on-screen display that supports English, Spanish, and French. A multi-brand TV, DVD/VCR remote control comes with the SLV-D350P’s standard package.

Out of Box DVD FAIL

I wish I had checked here before purchasing. The DVD player failed right out of the box. The same load / read issue as everyone else. It's going back tomorrow! I guess I'm lucky that it failed right away - I'd hate to be stuck with the darn thing. Read more

Sony failed miserably with this model. I usually trust that brand, but not anymore. The remote control is very poorly designed. After about the 8 month mark, the dvd tray seemed reluctant to open. 1 year later, the dvd tray wouldn't open at all. Not being one to tolerate crappy machines that won't do what they're designed to do, I yanked off the dvd door and used some vice grips to pulled out the dvd tray (like a dentist yanks out a tooth :) Yeah, I knew that would...
