Very disappointing results

Summary: I purchased the Vax S6S from John Lewis after much research. The product is sturdy and components fit together easily but this steam cleaner does not live up to expectations when you try to clean with it. I spent a very frustrating hour trying out all the tools in an attempt to clean the bathroom. I followed the manufacturers instructions carefully but the results were so disappointing compared to using my normal products.
Does What it Says on the Tin! Or box, in this case

Summary: Easy to set up and use. Lots of hard floors of different types in the house have benefitted from this steam cleaner. Mirrors have also benefitted. Have not yet applied to carpets, but it comes with a glider for use on carpets. Capacity sufficient for a reasonably extended duration of use, and has steam quantity control for less grimy and less robust surfaces. One tip is to use filtered or bottled water in a hard water area, if only to slow the build up of scale.
Summary: I am really pleased with purchase light so not heavy to carry when has water in. You have to spay away from the area you are cleaning before using as their is a build up of steam but then all good to go the carpets cleaned well and it has restored them not wet dry in no time . Will now use it on the car ad I know the seats will not be soaked .
Summary: I have tried several times with this, in case it was inexperience, but quite honestly I'm not at all impressed. The quantity of steam generated before it has to reheat is minimal so it takes much longer to do the floors than the traditional mop and bucket... The other functions are not as effective as I had hoped, so it's back to chemical solutions for me I'm sorry to say.. Feel I've wasted my money, was ok for shirts tho.
Summary: I had high expectations for this machine... There is no water level indicator, You have to wait for the orange light to go out before you can use it - and then when you do, one blast and hot water spews out over the floor and the light goes orange again so, according to the instructions you can't use it until the green light comes on again! Granite work tops come up a treat though! Took it back to the shop today...
Summary: So far - very good. have used it on my laminate flooring for some time, no floods of water as with other brands. The Vax has a stain remover container which is ideal as this helps clean the laminate/tiled floor very quickly without keep going over same spot. I have not yet used attachments, therefore cannot comment on these!
