Save yourself the trouble and buy a different vacuum!

Summary: Save your money! Terrible product and the warranty is worthless. The brush head stopped turning after a month and then the brush stopped working altogether after less than 5 months of light use. It was fine while it worked, although not much better than my 5- year old Eureka. Suction is good, but not remarkable and the hardwood brush never worked properly.
Beater bar quit after a few months -- so the marketing promises of long lasting are just markeing hype.

Summary: we made it 4 months before the beater bar and light quit working. Most of the low ratings are this problem, so they have a manufacturing defect. Shipping back and forth to Utah (at my expense seems unfair as there is no guarantee it won't break in a month or two... so shipping it back and forth several times before the warranty wears out makes this very expensive and very inconvenient. It worked well otherwise. Sadly we didn't get the life they promise in the ads.
Summary: I had a 35 year old Electrolux that finally died and was looking for a canister vacuum to replace it. When I started looking at all the different vacuum cleaners I was at first overwhelmed. I could not believe how expensive they are. I finally decided that I wanted one similar to my old vacuum. This one fit the bill perfectly. The rug attachment is excellent.
Summary: This is my first ProLux and I'm happy with it so far. It's not as quiet as my UltraSilencer, but it's not bad. Only complaint is that I can't get the floor tool under my dressers due to the big nozzle switches for carpet vs hard floor. Even the upholstery nozzle is too bulky for this. Never had a problem with my old Hoover.
Summary: Bought this vacuum about 6 months ago. Today, the power nozzle just quit working. No light, no nothing. I wasn't crazy about it anyway, but an expensive machine like this should work flawlessly for years, not quit after a few months.
Miele like quality and features at a Kenmore price point....

Summary: I don't give five star reviews much, and may revise if some issues arise, but so far so good, and frankly at this price point I wasn't expecting this quality. We did order a Miele first (my wife likes the brand) that was about the same cost, and then discovered that it was the one without the powered brush head, any accessories, and was basically their version of a glorified hand vacuum, period.
Summary: I bought this over a year ago and has been an ok vacuum cleaner. Recently the belt inside the carpet cleaner broke. There is nothing in the manual that has any information about belt numbers or where to buy another one. I have searched everywhere online and have tried multiple hardware stores. I have emailed the company twice, and had to do a pretty extensive search for a phone number. When I finally found one, no one would pick up the phone and went to a voicemail.
Summary: I would have rated this vacuum a 4 star, because it has really good suction power, which is what I need in a vacuum with 3 dogs and a cat. Three of which are long haired. It worked great when we first received it, but it the power head broke after using it about 6 times. That is GREATLY disappointing because this was going to be my back-up vacuum for my Miele vacuum. This vacuum is NO comparison to the quality and workmanship of a Miele.
Summary: I bought this vacuum in May 2013. The carpe attachment stopped working in Sep 2013. Seems to be a product defect. other customers have complained of same issue. i would pay to ship the vacuum, 37 lbs so they can put in a new fuse. Not pleased. Vacuum was used 1 a week for 3 months.
