  • Summary: This is an unwieldy, heavy vacuum that is difficult to manoever as a result. There is one tool that has no holder which is inconvenient. The rocker button for the carpet/bare floor option kept switching to bare floor even though I was vacuuming carpet. Very disappointed as I had Panasonic cleaners for years before they changed their manurfacturing methods.

Panasonic MC-UL915 "Jet Force" Bagles Vacuum Cleaner, Metallic Red

Peter DP, Amazon
11 January 2014
  • Summary: Overall a decent vacuum cleaner with a few pros and cons to take note of before purchasing. Have used this vacuum for six months about one time per week. Purchased based on reviews and brand name. Pros: 1. On the quiet side. 2. Long cord. 3. Has a quality and well built feel about it. 4. Cleans very well especially for households that include fury four legged occupants. 5. Has a HEPA filter Cons: 1. Vacuum is sort of a clunker.

Nice vacuum with major flaw

  • Summary: I bought this bagless vacuum cleaner several months ago and have liked using it very much. You have to empty the canister every time you use it and you fail to clean filters at your peril--which I faithfully did. Nevertheless it just stopped working. I took it in for repair and learned that somehow what is vacuumed goes through the motor (rather than by-passing it) and that it what is clogged, and inaccessible to me. It will cost me $44 to get it going again.

Heavy Duty, Versatile, Solid, and Bagless Vacuum

Anne, Amazon
3 April 2013
  • Summary: Over the past few years, I've owned a basic bagless Hoover, midline bagless Eureka, and a basic commercial Oreck (which requires bags). They are all very different and different still from this Panasonic vacuum cleaner. Honestly, I probably would have bought this vacuum cleaner a year ago if my mom hadn't introduced me to Oreck. But, I would have ended up frustrated because after having it for three months it doesn't work very well anymore.

Watch out for the emptying cycle.

Daniel G. Lebryk, Amazon

  • Summary: This vacuum has some really nice features, a little technology over the competition, but it is a major pain to empty. May 3, 2013 Update: The dirt detector (the reason I liked using this vacuum cleaner) died. It no longer works. I've tried cleaning it out with no luck. Without the dirt detector, this became a pretty useless vacuum cleaner compared to what is available now. There are newer models, less expensive, that suck better, are lighter weight, and easier to empty.

Good but has some flaws

mkn1981, Amazon
18 January 2011
  • Summary: This vacuum has pretty good suction and cleans carpets well. The dirt indicator is a nice function and will save you time from playing the guessing game. I was not as satisfied with the hard floor cleaning, but it is good enough. The detachable dust cup comes off easily and is opened from the bottom. It can be difficult to empty as the dust/hair sticks onto the top of the canister, so you'll occasionally have to remove it with your hand.

3.5 Stars

Margaux Paschke, Amazon

  • Summary: This vacuum was easy to set up straight out of the box. There are plenty of attachments that fit every cleaning method desired. It did a good job overall. The Panasonic makes it easy to switch between vacuum head and attachments. The handle easily slides out of its holder to place an attachment at the end. The attachments do not have strong suction. The vacuum worked well on a rug that has to withstand 1 dog and two cats lying on it.
