Summary: I bought this in December for my daughter as a gift and it has already died. I contacted Panasonic and they said I would have to ship it to another state....AT MY OWN COST....to have it looked at! I can and will buy a Dirt Devil for less money than that shipping cost. What a waste of money. The only upside is that the extended warranty I bought is refundable so at least I will get something back.
Summary: This vacuum cleaner has MUCH more power than you'd expect at it's price. It picks up up the fine particles that are deep in the carpet pile. It doesn't have a retractable cord or a pet hair attachment as stated in the Wal-Mart description (Panasonic also errs on their website) but for basic carpet care you won't find anything that cleans as well as this vacuum.
Summary: This was the highest rated vacuum at the lowest price that I could find (I got it on sale at Frys for $60.00). It doesn't come with a pet hair attachment. Even the Panasonic website mistakenly lists this accessory inclusion. Panasonic also recommends that this model be used only for carpet. Regardless of those issues, I'd recommend this vacuum in a New York minute. It actually pulled out pet hair that a friend's Dyson had left in the carpet.
Excerpt: The Panasonic MC-UL423 Bagless is working very well, we just starting using it yesterday. There is a few maintenance to be done if we want the vacuum to work well, a couple of filters to clean, wash, and change, and other parts to keep clean and maintained. But I believe if properly maintained it will work well for a good amount of time.
Summary: I have owned Panasonic Vacuum cleaners for many years (Including Kenmore, which they are the manufacture) and this vacuum is the best one I have ever owned, in fact it cleans further than what my old Panasonic vacuum obviously misses...
