Summary: I prefer canister vacuums over upright vacuums, and this is a very attractive, powerful machine. Very well designed and even though I live in a studio with hardwood, it picks up so much dust that my swiffer misses it kind of scares me. The powered vacuum head is very effective, and it has a handy option to turn a dial to scrape the dust from the filter without having to open the vacuum itself.
If you can't afford an expensive sweeper this one is good.

Summary: I use it for places I can't get into with my big upright and under the beds especially. My upright doesn't have a hose with it. I'm glad I bought it. I don't use it on my thick rugs. It doesn't have the power I insist on to get the deep down dirt in the rugs. Okay buy.
Summary: This vacuum works fine on hard floors but is a little hard to push on carpet or area rugs. It has no tools for cleaning furniture so I need a separate vacuum for that task. And, emptying the cannister is a bit messy, empty it before vacuuming or take it outside. I am disappointed in its overall functioning.
Summary: Works good on solid surface floors, however I do not recommend it for carpet. The main cleaning brush does not revolve so it lacks adequate cleaning for removing particulates from carpets. I would not recommend this vacuum.
Summary: For a suction vacuum this Panasonic is good, It does a great job on my wood floors and thin carpets. It is not good for thick carpets though as it does not have a power motor brush, only a suction brush.
Summary: Great suction and filter design, it traps dirt without clogging up the filter. It has a pre-filter that stops the main filter from clogging up too soon. And this canister bag-less is easier to clean than previous models. It has a good quality metal chrome extension wand that is adjustable, & good solid end connectors on the hose that don't unwind and fall out. Durable flexible hose too. Should last for a decade.
Pros: Inexpensive, Compact, Easy to use, Durable, Exceeded expectations, Convenient, has great suction power !
Cons: Poor documentation, the cord rewind button & power button are lame., both black push buttons look the same confusing., panasonic needs to add allot of info to the manual
Wish the replacement filter did not cost so much, ridiculous !!!

Summary: I bought this a few years ago at Fry's for $69 . Much cheaper than what they are trying to sell this for here. You can buy much newer models of canister vacs at around $99 with much cheaper to replace filters. The main filter cost $50 before shipping cost, you might as well buy a new vac or Jerry rig a filter onto the old one. After just a few cleanings of the main filter unit it started to fall apart and get crushed down.
Summary: I've been using this vacuum cleaner for a year and a half or so. It is really hard to take the top part off. The vacuum never quite gets the corners right. But now it started scratching my wooden floor! The rubber bands on the wheels must have worn off or something. The vacuum leaves huge scratch marks! Do not recommend at all.
Summary: This is a great vacuum cleaner, powerful, easy to wheel around and the canister, when full of debris is very easy to empty. The only thing I am finding to be a bit tricky is that the bottom plate (the bottom part of the rectangular part that rolls over the floor/carpet) is extremely narrow so hair, fluff, pet hair etc keep getting stuck on it and every few minutes I have to manually detangle.
