  • Summary: Pros: Suction is good, extra attachments are conveniently located on back of canister, cord is sufficiently long, adequate filter. Cons: Feels very cheaply made and concerned that the plastic cover that keeps the extra attachments can break any minute. Other: Have only used for 15 days, therefore, my comments are only as good as my limited use. Else, delivery of the product was timely.

  • Summary: $205 for this vacuum is a fair price. However, the vacuum is more difficult to maneuver than I expected. The vacuum head which sweeps the floor is bigger than I like. I also feel like the suction is not as good as my old vacuum (which was a dyson). But, like I said, for the price I paid, it's a good value.

  • Summary: Its a nice vacuum, but the bag fills up too quickly. There is a lot of bag that is squished to one side when you install it and isn't filled when sweeping. That is poorly designed. It doesn't hold too much when you are picking up after 2 long haired dogs. For just general vacuuming, it is fine. I was upset with the retractable power chord. After 2 uses, it stopped retracting The price is good for what you get though. I liked all the attachments hidden inside.

Cheaply made. Cleans well. Won't last.

  • Summary: First all my vacs at home & in my 17 year cleaning business have been & are Panasonic. I have the MC-UL915 to use on a daily basis. I got this model because of the swivel head. Church I clean has replaced pews with chairs. Bad idea for cleaning. Anyway. First Saturday night I tried to use it I sat it down gently & the lid to bag fell completely off for no reason. Took me entire Sunday morning & many scratches on my legs to FINALLY get it back on.

  • Summary: The vacuum has been used only a little so far and seems to perform very well with respect to overall suction and the electrically powered carpet attachment. However, the small upholstery attachment powered by an air turbine is under-powered and has stopped running altogether a couple of times. I have cleaned it carefully and it is running again, but I do not believe it is up to the task of removing dog hair from furniture, auto carpet, etc.

... I think the performance of the vacuum is very good. However

  • Summary: I have had this vacuum for just over a year and overall I think the performance of the vacuum is very good. However, what I struggle with is the compartments/attachments. I had a kenmoore canister vac prior to this for 8 years, which I loved. Our repair man recommended we try the panasonic as a replacement. I find the tool compartment difficult to open in that it often doesn't release fully.

Replaced a Kenmore

MJW, Amazon
2 March 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this vacuum to replace my thirteen year old Kenmore. As other reviewers have mentioned this model is very close to the Kenmore and the bottom of the canister is obviously the same mold. The good news is the suction is strong and the newer wheels allow it to roll much easier. The vacuum is also reasonably quiet and my old Kenmore motorized stair attachment works with the new handle.

  • Summary: I ordered this vac to replace my very similar Kenmore. The product arrived quickly from Wal Mart, and had much more power than my 10 year old, still working, Kenmore. However, the vacuum head had a wheel with a terrible squeak. After trying to get through to Panasonic customer service, and never actually reaching a human, I packed up the vac and returned it to Wal Mart. I'll be reordering, and trying again.

  • Summary: There was a lot to like about this vacuum, but the unacceptably poor design of the filter bags made it practically useless at keeping the dust in the bag and out of the vacuum and its filters. The filter bags have no gasket to seal around the hose so some of the fine dust just gets sucked into the bag compartment and the filters. I only vacuumed a few times and there was already enough dust that had escaped the bag to discolor both the prefilter and HEPA filters.

Great vacuum, heavy lifting

  • Summary: I have mixed feelings about this vacuum. I purchased it about 1.5 years ago and it worked very well. I was and still am very impressed with its suction power; it cleans carpet and hard floor very well (easy switch on handle), rotating the brush for carpet cleaning. I also like the Pet Turbine Mini-brush, which is a nice accessory to have for vacuuming the couch and armchairs even if you don't have pets.
