Summary: I've had 2 units in less than two years. Within the first few months, the first one had charging contacts that burned and melted the plastic on the back of the unit - a serious fire hazard. Neato replaced the unit with a new one and I've had it for less than a year and it completely quit working, since their warranty period covers from the purchase date of the original unit, not the replacement, they will not replace this defective unit either.
Summary: I have it programmed to clean every MWF at 8:15am. Each MWF, I come home and find the Neato docked nicely at it's charging station, with its dirt bin full! We have a lot of trees around our house, so debris is constantly tracked indoors. You will have to pick up any cell phone/laptop charging cords, dog toys, socks, and anything else that can get stuck. I love it because it cleans under the couch and bed.
Summary: Works very well and well worth it. You do have to pay attention and pick things up like rugs or kids blankets and close doors to spaces you don't want it to go in. FANTASTIC for tile and wood floors. I don't recommend for carpet. And what can you say about Amazon, they rock...however I believe I heard recently Amazon big wig onboard with adding sales tax for all. NOT COOL AMAZON!!!!
Summary: This vacuum is fabulous as far as we are concerned. It took a couple of weeks to work out places it might get hung up on and we removed obstacle or blocked it. It also took some time for it to learn all our house and build up on the time it would run before recharging. Now it runs for an hour at a time before it goes back to recharge. It has handled all our hardwood floors, area rugs of different heights, and bedroom rugs just fine.
Summary: I've been using this Neato for a couple days now and ended up selecting the XV-12 over the XV-21 or Signature models because it appears to have the same internal vacuum components without the inflated price due to minor enhancements such as extra filters or brushes. All models make use of the same firmware and all models have access to these updates. Let's hope that Neato doesn't change this in the future. My greatest concerns with the Neato relate to battery lifetime.
Summary: We have now had our Neato for at least 4 months. Everyday at 1:00pm Neato makes her rounds in our master bedroom with hard wood floors. The swiffer has been officially retired. It gets under the bed, behind the night tables, under the armoire and triple dresser, into our closets and under my wife's make up table. It finds dirt. Works when we are away or when its too hot to do housework. The filter can go for 4 days begore emtying it out. It "thanks you".
Summary: I bought my Neato about 3 months ago through a deal of the day type of website. I had wanted a Roomba for years, but after comparing the Neato and the Roomba, I decided to take the plunge and bought the Neato XV-12. I have a 1 story house, and about 1300 sq ft of house that needs semi regular cleaning. It's just my wife and I and a small short haired dog, so there usually aren't many huge messes that need cleaning.
Summary: I bought the Neato XV-12 in February. It is very easy to operate and I am very pleased with the purchase. It cleans better than the other robotic cleaner brand that I purchased, but had to return. I am extremely impressed with the customer service. When you call the # a person actually answers the phone (rather quickly) and helps with whatever problem you are having. The customer service center is open 24/7. I am amazed at how easy it is to operate this cleaner.
Summary: This little vacuum is terrific! It's great on all kinds of flooring. I love that I can just push a button and it will go to work while I work on something else;. I can easily move it all over the house because it's small and lightweight. It's especially good for cleaning under low, heavy furniture like beds and dressers that the big vacuum can't easily get under.
Summary: The Neato vacuum works great with a lot of babysitting. It does an awesome job of vacuuming, it's the getting back to the charging station that seems to be the hangup. It always stops short of the base and screams "my battery is low, please place me on the charger". If it is a small room, such as a small bedroom, it has no problem.
