Summary: First time I have written a vacuum review but I honestly can't believe that after reading all the wonderful reviews and consumer recommendations that I am the only one who has had issues with this machine. I have had it for 2 years now and it will be going back to be repaired for loss of suction for the 4th time tomorrow. The list of things that I have been cautioned to avoid using the vacuum on astounds me.

Summary: I bought this vacuum based on consumer reports reviews. We have two Siberian huskies and have been through at least three vacuums in the past 2 years. We have been using it almost daily since we bought it and it is fantastic!! The huskies shed all of the time but have two MAJOR blow-outs a year and this vacuum made it through both this year. Would highly recommend!
Summary: I don't know why Miele advertises this Vacuum as a Cat & Dog Vacuum. I've had it just under two years and constantly experience No Suction. Vacuum throws dust and hair back into the house. If you experience the same problem this may be helpful. I resolve it by using a T20 and T10 screwdriver to remove the bottom silver plate. With the plate removed you will see a hose opening. Clean out the hose with a brush, Needle-Nose Pliers or wire hanger.
Summary: I do enjoy how powerful this Miele S7260 Cat & Dog vacuum is. It is effective in removing pet hair. On carpet, some hair will collect on the underside and will rub off on another area of carpet; this may be static working here.
Summary: Though this vaccum comes with a hefty price it is German made. My comments here are based on my first use of this product. Back story, I have had other vacuum cleaners to include Filter Queen, Hoover, Eureka, Dust Devil or any of the numerous other cheep-oh's being made in the past twenty-five years. I have an American Eskimo dog, white, sheds hand fills everyday and brushing her fills the area with loose white dog fur galore. This is not my first nor my last Eskimo.
Summary: I have owned many vacuums over the years including 3 Dyson's. Nothing compares. This is simply an amazing vacuum. It's sturdy, high quality and very quiet. The light featured on the front is great for seeing dust in places you normally wouldn't. I will never own anything but Miele vacuums again.
Excerpt: This is a phenomenal machine! Are you kidding me? Quiet, terrific features and functions outstanding German engineering. It's fabulous. Love the built in extension piece, the switch pkacement, the swivel, even the delighter LED lights. Make sure you push the handle in hard enough to get the full loud click or the electrical will not have a good connection and it will cut out. We called the help line on a Saturday.
Summary: This vacuum really sucks...in a good way, but is far more quiet than you'd expect from such a powerhouse. Build quality is top rate...solid as a rock. Price is steep, but it feels like you're vacuuming with an Audi. Heavy, but no dead weight.
