Summary: I was just in the middle of vacuuming and stopped everything to finally write a review about how awful this vacuum is! I've owned it for about a year and a different model previously. I am notorious for doing a ton of research before any big purchases and read very positive reviews about this particular model. I am all for spending the money on quality, and this vacuum is certainly well built and will last a long time.
Summary: I was able to vacuum my entire apartment with out changing electrical outlets because of the 33-foot operating radius. The 5 height adjustments allowed me to go from my medium carpet to the hallway floors and to my bathroom tiles seamlessly. The craftsmanship is of the highest quality.
JO: Very Pleased Best Product vacuum I have every owned to date.

Summary: Have only used a few times since it arrived but very pleased, my carpets look like new. I have lots of tile and area rugs also. They have never looked better. This is my first canister vacuum and love they way I can get around and under furniture. Had several bag less vacuums, what a mess! Not for me. I am very pleased. The only disappointment was in the flexible cervical tool that I ordered, was expecting something a bit more flexible.
Summary: This vacuum was recommended by a friend and neighbor who has one. I tried hers and was very impressed so wanted to order one for myself. The one my friend has is no longer available as it is an older model, so I ordered the Kona instead and I love it! It is very quiet, efficient, and well-constructed. I definitely recommend it!
Pros: high quality, effective, quiet, reliable, easy to use
Summary: I have had this vacuum for a couple of months now and it has been working GREAT! The suction is unbelievable! I actually sucked some fibers out of my bedroom carpet by accident using the wrong setting. Definitely my fault! I was thinking of getting the Dyson Animal and am so glad I stuck with they canister style. I was going to get the Cat/Dog model but decided against it since it came only in the horrible orange color. I ordered the furniture attachment separately.
Summary: This Miele Kona Canister Vacuum chose me more than my choosing it! I had new carpet installed and found that my canister vacuum, which had been wonderful for me, wouldn't even move on the new carpet - which is rather silky and extremely dense. It is a high quality carpet and it turned out that the only vacuum I could find that would work on it is also high quality (and expensive). It works well and that was an absolute necessity.
Summary: I own this vacuum cleaner in both the US and the UK. The UK version is lighter and easier to manoevre. The US version is heavier. This must be due to the lower electric power available in this country so adaptations have had to be made to the product. The Miele vacuum cleaner does an amazing job. The carpets look like new and the cleaning head called, i think, a parquet floor cleaner, included with this vacuum cleaner, is excellent for wood floors and also for tile.
Summary: Problems: Short cord and short hose; no beater bar on power head; onboard attachments are tiny and not very functional; expensive replacement bags-too small-don't last long. Very expensive vacuum. I hoped it would live up to its price tag, but found that it has less suction than my $149 Hoover Wind Tunnel. After I clean with the Miele, I go back over traffic areas with the Hoover. The Miele is OK for light duty dusting, but not for thorough house cleaning.
