Conclusion: If you want the power and performance the Miele brand is known for at a slightly more affordable price, the Miele S 7210 Twist is a basic model in the S7 series that still packs quite a punch. With many of the features of more-expensive models, the Twist actually scores higher in one professional test than its more-expensive S7-series siblings. There are some problems reported with poor suction and malfunctioning motors.
Pros: Multiple onboard attachments, 12-foot hose, Four levels of suction power, Intuitive fingertip controls
Cons: HEPA filter not standard, Some durability issues
Conclusion: Miele have been manufacturing floor care products for 80 years and they are famous for making quality vacuum cleaners. We've reviewed several of their canister vacuums and stick vacuums in the past and in almost all cases have found them to be exemplary products. The S7210 Twist is the first full-size Miele upright we have looked at, and it too seems to be getting very good grades from consumers.
Pros: Swivel feature works very well, Solidly built machine, Fairly quiet, Being able to adjust suction is great, Small footprint and easy to store, Effective on pet hair, Hose extends easily, Very powerful
Cons: Swivel feature works very well, Solidly built machine, Fairly quiet, Being able to adjust suction is great, Small footprint and easy to store, Effective on pet hair, Hose extends easily, Very powerful
Summary: I used the S7210 Twist in my home and was impressed at how easily it was to adjust the suction settings as needed as I switched from bare floors to different area rugs and wall to wall carpeting. We missed the automatic setting that is on the S7580 Auto Eco model that eliminates the need to adjust the suction settings as one changes cleaning surfaces.
Pros: 4-Stage Suction and Automatic Height Adjustment:, Quality filtration system:, Ultra maneuverability:, Equipped for all floor types:, Easy above floor cleaning:, No worries of tipping:, Extra large capacity vacuum bags:
Cons: The S7210 Twist lacks some of the extra features found on the other S7's such as the 8 LED headlights, HEPA filtration, filter change indicator and automatic suction adjustment, but it's lower price is a reflection of the lack of these features., Like most upright vacuums, the Twist is a bit heavy to carry weighting in at 22 lbs.
Excerpt: The Miele S 7210 Twist vacuum is a full size upright model with a current price tag of nearly $450, which is actually a good amount lower than the MSRP. In this review of the Miele S 7210 Twist vacuum cleaner, I’ll go over this model’s strengths and weaknesses, then decide if it’s worth the very high price. The sleek exterior looks pretty nice, but I wouldn’t say it’s the most attractive unit out there.
