Summary: Recently I purchased my second Miele, a Delphi from BB&B. After considerable time shopping for vacs, I focused in again on Miele but knowing which model to choose was another challenge. After much reading, speaking with Miele CS and trying out a few at a vacuum store I realized that the Delphi was the best model to choose. Of the four S2 models, it is one of two that have an electric powered head, an important consideration with pets.
Summary: I spent three days shopping for a vacuum at dealers, online dealers and with miele customer service. After deciding on a canister, I narrowed it down to Panasonic and Miele.I purchased this model from BB&B. The Mieles are MUCH quieter. Miele is hard to shop as they have so many "kits". Basically, BB&B carries their full entry S2 lineup. The Delphi is the best kit and I will tell you why. First, they are all the same model but a different color.
Summary: Great vacuum for my 1800 square foot home with all hard floors and a few low pile area rugs. I chose this over the Olympus model because it comes with the parquet floor tool and the turbo brush. The turbo brush works great on my rugs and the parquet tool works great on my hard floors.
Summary: I chose Miele after a long personal research and owning other brands. Miele S2121 performs according to my expectations and is very well designed and built with durability, maintenance and performance in mind. I am very well pleased and strongly recomemded it to all my friends.
Summary: I bought the Capri to replace my Shark Navigator, so you can tell I'm not one to plunk down a lot of cash for a vacuum. The Navigator is a fine vacuum cleaner, but it started scratching our new hand-scraped wood floors, so it had to be consigned to dirtier work. I wanted something that would handle our area rugs and wood and tile in our house, but I also needed something light enough to carry up and down our (carpeted) stairs. The Capri fits the bill in every way.
Summary: Pros: Sucks up everything, is quiet and looks awesome. The electric hose is fantastic. Cons: Price, and the price of replacement bags. The bags are expensive but they actually hold a lot more dirt than you would think and are extremely high quality. They even seal shut when you replace them so never any dust in the air. Once you go Miele, you can't go back. My wife now has entirely too much fun vacuuming, even when the carpet is already clean.
Summary: I love this vacuum! It's light and the suction is great. My old Kenmore wouldn't get the tiny lint off of my carpet, but this takes it up no problem. I love how light it is. It is so easy to carry upstairs. I do wish it came with a hard floor brush, but I bought the parquet twister instead. I love that you can change the amount of suction. I have 2 dogs and 2 kids, and this vacuum does a great job!
Summary: This is literally the best vacuum I have ever experienced. It is light, easy to tote around and maneuver, powerful, quiet, sturdy and attractive. It is also designed to not tip over, unlike my old Electrolux. Finally, the vacuum bags have an air cleaner built into them, a brilliant combination that keeps the air in the house clean. In my humble opinion, the Germans have mastered this machine. I LOVE my new accuum and will be a Miele customer for the rest of my life.
