Summary: I can't believe we went so long without the Miele! For years we fell for the Dyson gimmicks and I honestly feel stupid about the amount of money we have thrown at them after a few months with the Miele. It is so quiet and super light and unlike the Dyson it will actually do carpets!
Summary: I own both the Miele S7280 Jazz Upright and the Miele S2121 Delphi Canister. This is what I think. SUCTION POWER: Very important obviously, both are superb. For how super quiet both are, they suck things in incredibly well. I don't have a dyson for comparison, but a few old canister models and Eureka and Hoover uprights. Both the Miele upright and canister blew them away. There is a Miele commercial online where a person is vacuuming and suddenly the cat is gone.
Summary: I love how this vacuum works, Granddaughter took my other Miele and I won't pester her for it back.... I upgraded to the power brush and am very happy with it.... Both are excellent ... Love the different power levels.... Works great for different vacuuming chores... Very versatile ....
Summary: This is our second Miele vacuum cleaner. Our first one did not have the power brush, so this time, we chose the upper-grade model with an Electrobrush Head. Miele is a bit pricey compared to other makers, but we are happy for the no-nonsense performance. This is kind of "investment" for us, as Miele does not break so easily like other brands we bought in the past.
Summary: You get what you pay for. After years of "middle of the line" vacuum cleaners, I upgraded to a Miele, which definitely cost more, but it does more. Great cleaning power, and a pleasure to use. The one drawback: as stated by others, it can tip over when being moved. Not a big deal...you have learn to to move it gently, and you'll avoid this issue. Overall, it's a good value.
Summary: Totally happy with the Capri model, I would recommend it. I originally had a central vacuum system I loved but when we moved we could not install one in the new house economically so I got the Miele. It is very much as nice to use as the central vacuum. Very quiet, light weight, easy to use, and works well. Only thing the cord could be 10 feet longer and the hose 2 or 3 feet longer.
Summary: My first reaction to the idea of buying this vacuum was "$500 for a vacuum? Are you crazy?" But when we used it yesterday for the first time, both my wife and I agree that this was well worth the cost. We've had 3 Dysons over the past 7 years and they've been barely adequate at picking up the hair of 3 golden retrievers and 2 cats off our several area rugs.
