Summary: I'm not one to usually write reviews but today I feel really strong about this and I may have some useful information for those that can diagnose issues with their unit. Also I'm one to read reviews and make my own assessment on others experiences . I had my unit for 1 yr 1/2 and today my wife had brought our lg vacuum to my attention .
Summary: The rotating brush seized and burned the belt out. It still wouldn't turn when the belt was replaced because the brush mechanism was damaged. I replaced the brush ($30+) and it still wouldn't turn properly because something else seems to have failed deeper in the machine. This is one of two different brands of vacuum cleaner I have.
Summary: I've owned this machine for well over a year now. As the title of my review says, the machine is heavy and has powerful suction. May be too heavy for some women carrying up and down stairs. When used in it's upright position it does excellent work. The pet turbine tool is powered by a separate electronic power source from a switch at the top right hand side.
Summary: After a year and a half, the brush on this unit stopped spinning. I took it to a local vacuum repair shop that found the control board was bad. LG does not sell this part as a replacement. We're now in the process of contacting LG customer service. I have a Kenmore cansister vacuum for 12 years now that is better than this one. I just ordered another Kenmore today to replace this LG. I would not recommend this vacuum.
Summary: Although this vacuum had everything I desired, it didn't. (in the box was an extra wand that didn't even go with the machine) The description was inaccurate. There is no auto rewind for the cord, one of the main reasons I purchased it. I also found the machine to be heavy and hard to maneuver. The mattress/stairs wand doesn't work, the brush head will not spin. I also found that the more you stretch the hose the less suction it has and the hose is really hard to stretch.
Summary: I just love this vacuum. Its the best edge cleaning vacuum I have ever used and I mean without the attachments. After returning two cheaper vacuums, I decided to spend a little more money and bought this LUV300 and it was money well spent. I have noticed I dont have to dust as much in my house because its contained in the container. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats so picking up pet hair was important and it does the job very well. If I could change one thing....
Summary: This is by far the best vacuum for carpets it will scare you what is hidden in the piles after you use it for the first time. No bags and the dust is caked so you just open bottom and it comes right out. The only issue is dog hair, I have a golden and the attachments just don't do the trick on the fabric couch and his dog bed but beside that excellent vacuum.
Summary: The only problem I have is the battery compartment in the handle comes off too easy for me as I'm vacuuming. I have owned a Kirby 2000, OreckXL, Dirt Devil, and several other brands. The LG LUV300B is the most powerful and convenient vacuum I have ever owned! I highly recommend it!!!
Summary: I have no complaints from the time I opened the box. Assembly was very easy and I just love this vacuum cleaner. Normally I dont get excited about a vacuum cleaner, but it made such a difference in my home and carpets, I now dont have to dust as much because I truly believe my old dirt devil was just blowing dirt around which eventually just settled on my furniture. I first bought a Hoover Windtunnel vacuum for 119.
