Summary: Generally works as expected and does a good job of cleaning pet hair and small pieces of debris from wooden floors and carpets. It has a few deficiencies. We have to keep it off of some of our carpets with fringed edges because it damages those edges. Thus we cannot use it in some rooms. It has no on/off switch.
BEST Roomba for the money IMHO & Great Reprot from Consumer Reports
David W. Stewart "II", Amazon
5 November 2013
Summary: I bought this because Consumer Reports stated the more expensive ones did NOT clean better and this one did a GREAT job for what it was designed for (between normal vacuum cleaning). It removes much more cat hair that I anticiapted and we had no idea there was (so much) cat liter on our rugs! We carry it to the porch and it does a great job there (concrete floor) too.
Summary: Our Roomba, aka ChaCha, (now one month old) is our pet and source of entertainment when we are at home. He is always full of dirt when he returns to his home base and it is our pleasure to clean him and make sure that he is comfortable for his next adventure, exploring all of the nooks and crannies of our home. Our house always looks clean (although don't look to close).
Summary: Bought this to replace my old 500 series Roomba. Between being an older version, and probably some lost suction, this vacuum works SO MUCH BETTER than the old one. It picks up dirt long after the carpet looks clean to the eye. The battery lasts a long time, too, like a really long time.
Summary: I first bought a Neato 21. Suction power was fantastic but it was plagued with low battery power (would hardly run for 30 mins) and it would get stuck on wires or clothing lying on the floor. After using it for a week I returned the Neato 21. I then went for Neato 11 (cause reviews said it had better battery), however this machine was faulty. It's motor was LOUD, made noise like a truck. It would get stuck just as often as Neato 21 and the scheduling in it did not work.
Summary: Keeps up great with the little pet fur balls. However, sometimes it gets "stuck" on one of our carpets... not sure why? Requires some touch-up (we cannot toss our real vacuum!) but it's really great to have the dust bunnies gone under the bed and know that this little guy is running while we are at work. Would definitely recommend!
Summary: If you have pets you have to get one of these if you have non-carpeted floors. Exceeded all expectations on all of my non-carpeted floors. My bedrooms are the only carpeted areas pets are not allowed on carpeted floors.
Summary: This room a was perfect for my house with all hardwood floors. It does a great job and allows for you to do something else while it sweeps. If you have pets that shed, you may want to dump the collection bin mid way between cycle, it tends to fill fast with hair and it's a small space. It will last forever if you keep up required maintenance.
