Researched it. couldn't wait to get it. wanted to love it. hated it.

Summary: OK so I have been wanting a Roomba for months. I read reviews, talked to people who owned one, watched videos. We replaced our mangy carpet with almost 1000 sqft of laminate and I was looking for a way to keep up with the dust bunnies, cat hair and bits we tracked in. I am a vacuum and mop once a week girl and knew that wasn't going to be enough. So I asked for birthday $$, saved up and bought a 770 at BB&B with a 20% coupon 3/15/14.
Summary: CLEANING I'm surprised at how much dust and hair the Roomba 770 can pick up. When I look at my floor, I don't see anything dirty, but when I look in the bin of the Roomba, I see a handful of dust. All the cumulative dust from around the house must add up to a lot. Even when running on successive days, the Roomba can still pick up a fair amount of dust and hair, although not as much if you let it rest a couple of days between cleanings.
Do not buy this item if you have a small home with a lot of furniture

Summary: I used it once and it continually got stuck under my couch.... it didn't work as promised. The scheduler did not work either. It never left one room to do the whole house. They were good enough to refund my money.
Summary: a dirty job. first of all I'm not real impressed with the roomba 770. And having to take it apart and clean it every few days, is nothing short of ridiculous. The thing was advertised as a Hepa rated pet owners unit. Wrong...... the rollers can't handle more than a couple of days of pet hair before they start limping along with fur wrapped in the hubs. A VERY POOR DESIGN! Can you imagine having to disassemble and repair your stand up vac every few days?
Summary: Don't waste your money on a Roomba. When I first got mine, I was very happy with it. I didn't expect it to replace my regular vac, just wanted it to run around the house a couple of days a week to pick up dust and crumbs off the hardwood floors. It did just that for a very short time--then it just stopped caring. Now all it does it meander around kicking all the crumbs around the room and just riding over any dust or other debris without picking it up.
Summary: I fell in love with my Roomba. I have a Golden Retriever always inside the house and the little robot keeps everything pristine and clean. It chipped some of my IKEA furniture, but other than that, it's amazing. I recommend it to anyone!
No home should be without one, let you home be dominated by at least one robot and let it be one of the Roomba line.

Summary: Recently widowed, I stubbornly refuse to give up my home as long as I can maintain it. So this widower must do everything my wife did when it comes to cooking and cleaning, quite a shock and I can hear all you women chuckling in the background. Not so fast, ladies, for I had heard about this robot vacuum cleaner a long time ago and was reminded of it in a recent issue of Consumer Reports which was so positive in its review that I went ahead and bought mine.
