Summary: I have owned Hoover Windtunnel Vacuums for the past 18 years now and wouldn't use anything else. This newest model is excellent with superior suction and cleaning. The price in unbelievable for the product. I have 2 dogs and the pickup of the dog hair is great!!! My carpet looks new after vacuuming that is how much suction it has. You won't be disappointed with this purchase, don't spend more money on another model or brand.
Summary: I've read a number of reviews here slamming this vacuum because belts break. I have had the vacuum now for 9 months and haven't had a problem with the belt. The reason I'm on here today is that I had to clean the unit thoroughly today. The unit just wasn't working as it did when I bought it. I got looking at it and realized that there was maintenance that I hadn't performed. I learned that you need to clean the filter (duh!
Summary: I am so happy that I decided on this vacuum...and believe me, I did my research! I could not believe how much "gunk" it sucked out of my carpet! I had vacuummed the day before with my previous vacuum, then used the Hoover, and it looked like I hadn't vacuummed in years! It is so lightweight and glides across the floor and is great by the baseboards. The attachments work great too...the hose has excellent suction, and I love the "mini vacuum" attachment for my stairs.
Summary: I like this unit, it has good suction and it cleans well, the attachments make sense and the wand even has decent suction. The only real issue I have ever had with the unit was after we did some sanding in the home we tried to use it to clean up after and it just isnt really designed to handle that kind of dust so it clogged up the machine.
Summary: This vac really does a great job! It pushes so easy and we used it after we used our old vac and we were so surprised how much dirt it picked up. It empties easily and the filter system is such a great idea, since the filter can be rinsed out and reused time after time, so there's no cost after purchase of this vac. With no bags or filters to buy the purchase price is all you pay.
Summary: I have been on a good vacuum search for the past several months ever since my Bissell died on me. I decided to try out Hoover Windtunnel bagless. At first I was impressed on how easy it was to put together. It was attractive, container looked easy to empty and I heard some nice things about the brand and its suction on carpets and floors. The first time I have used it I was impressed. Suction was great.
Summary: The vac was terrible at picking up dirt in the small area in front of the roller and very bad at cleaning near the edges. It left a 1.25" unvacuumed area all around the vac. I had to go over and over the same areas for it to pick up dirt.
Summary: I've had this vacuum for 8 months. When I first got it, the canister would pop off of the vacuum during normal use 1/5 times I used it. This was a minor nuisance. Now, less than a year later, the canister pops off 5-10 time each time that I vacuum. I'm constantly having to readjust it but it doesn't fit properly since there's a larger gap (1/2 an inch) between the canister and vacuum than what you see in the images.
